Do you use all of them as tools in your Real Estate practice? 

The WEB - You may have a web site, or be part of your office's web site.  You may use other web sites to research sales comps, access your MLS service, etc.
Email - I guess we all know it and love it.  A great productivity tool, once you get by the SPAM.
Hybred "Email Groups" - Email Groups, where one Email, sent to the group address, is distributed to all members of the group.  A very handy thing!
Newsgroups, more properly called the Usenet.  Newsgroups are kind of like Email Groups, but use a different protocol for sending.  One message goes to all members of the group.  Like Email Groups, Usenet Newsgroups may be either moderated or unmoderated.  In the latter case, anyone can post anything, in the former case messages must be approved by a moderator.

What Real Estate Usenet Newsgroups will I Find?

Our ISP served up the following list of newsgroups when we used OUI to search for the keywords "real estate" and real-estate".

OUI makes working with Newsgroups simple. Subscribe to your favorite Newsgroups using OUI's built-in Newsgroup index list (it even updates itself for you) with a simple point and click.

OUI is a 16 Bit windows program.  It runs on all Windows platforms, with the exception of Windows XP Home Edition, which was not shipped with 16 bit program support.  It DOES run in Windows XP Professional.  We recommend running the program compatibility wizard, and set OUI to run as if running under Windows 95

OUI supports SLIP, PPP, and any valid TCP/IP Winsock-compliant connection. That means you can use your favorite dialer. Once online, OUI will download the headers in the Newsgroups you've subscribed to and then disconnect automatically (if your dialer supports the disconnect command OUI sends). OUI works with Microsoft's dial up network (DUN) as well as other dialers. OUI also works with a LAN connection or a high speed connection such as a cable modem.

You may then take your time to review the headers and mark which messages you would like to see. One more simple click and OUI will go online, download the messages you marked, and then come offline. You may then read and respond to the messages at your leisure.
